Privacy Policy

ScrapeSheet (“we”, “us”) is a browser extension that extracts data from web pages into Excel/CSV. This policy explains what we do — and, above all, what we do not do — with your data. We built ScrapeSheet to work almost entirely inside your own browser, so we collect as little as possible.

1. Data processed inside your browser only

• Scraped content. The tables, lists and text you extract are processed entirely on your device, inside your browser. This data is never sent to our servers and we never see it.
• Your AI key (BYOK). If you choose to use the optional AI feature, your Anthropic or OpenAI API key is stored only in your browser’s local storage. When you run an AI extraction, the page content and your key are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you chose (Anthropic or OpenAI) — never through us. We never receive or store your key.
• Settings and license. Your preferences (language, provider, model) and, if you subscribe, your license key are stored locally in your browser.

2. Data processed when you subscribe to Pro

Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your card details. To manage your subscription, Stripe processes your email address and, if you request an invoice, the billing details you provide (name, tax ID, address). Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment data; see the Stripe Privacy Policy. Your license key is a signed token derived from your subscription ID; it lets the extension confirm your subscription is active without us holding a database of users.

3. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, rent or share your data.
• We do not include advertising or third-party trackers in the extension.
• We do not collect your browsing history or the content of pages you visit.

4. Browser permissions and why we need them

• Active tab / scripting / host access: to read and extract the page you are actively on when you press “Extract”.
• Storage: to save your settings and license locally.
• Downloads: to save your Excel/CSV file.
• Tabs: to follow “next page” links during multi-page collection.
• Notifications: to tell you when a long extraction has finished.

5. Data retention

Data stored locally stays in your browser until you delete it, clear the key, or uninstall the extension. Billing records held by Stripe are retained according to Stripe’s policy and applicable law.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you may access, correct or erase your data. For billing data, use the customer portal or contact us. You can remove all local data at any time by deleting your key in Settings or uninstalling the extension. Requests: info@rubirent.com.

7. Children

ScrapeSheet is not directed to children under 16.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
